Zona malog gospodarstva Kolonija

Gradonačelnik Grada Slavonskog Broda Mirko Duspara, dr.med sa suradnicima danas je označio početak gradnje komunalne infrastrukture u Zoni malog gospodarstva "Kolonija". U prvoj gradskoj zoni malog gospodarstva koja se prostire na 34.000 kvadrata zemljišta i naslanja se na industrijsku zonu Đuro Đaković, što ih je Grad Slavonski Brod kupio od Đuro Đaković-Holdinga, bit će 12 parcela za gradnju proizvodnih pogona.

Radovi na gradnji infrastrukture u zoni Kolonija (ceste, vodovod, kanalizacija, plinovod...) ugovoreni su s "Osijek-Koteksom" s rokom od dva mjeseca.  Sukladno ranijoj odluci Gradskog poglavarstva, ugrađenoj u gradski antirecesijski program, poduzetnici koji kupe zemljište u zoni bit će oslobođeni plaćanja komunalnog doprinosa u iznosu od 25 do 100 posto ovisno o veličini objekta kojeg će izgraditi i broju novozaposlenih radnika.

Zona će se izgraditi na zemljištu u sastavu obuhvata Gospodarsko-proizvodne zone Đuro Đaković, tj. na rubnom području ove zone - uz gradski mjesni odbor Kolonija. Gospodarska namjena ovog zemljišta je utvrđena izrađenim Generalnim urbanističkim planom grada Slavonskog Broda.

Na području planirane Zone malog gospodarstva prioritetno će moći poslovati poslovni subjekti kojima je osnovna djelatnost proizvodnja gotovih proizvoda ili polu-proizvoda.

Zona malog gospodarstva će prema donesenim razvojnim planovima i ovom investicijskom elaboratu biti potpuno urbanistički razrađena i opremljena suvremenom komunalnom i ostalom infrastrukturom potrebnom za nesmetano poslovanje različitih proizvodnih  gospodarskih subjekata u Zoni.

Po provedenom infrastrukturnom opremanju ova Zona će biti u cijelosti spremna prihvatiti 8 do 10 poduzetnika-investitora, koji bi izgradnjom vlastitih proizvodno-poslovnih objekata materijalizirali svoju poduzetničku inicijativu za daljnji razvoj vlastitih  poduzeća ili obrta.

Slavonski Brod is situated in the East of Croatia - Slavonia region. It is the center of Brodsko - Posavska County, one of the six Slavonian counties. The city covers an area of over 50.14 km2, with its population of 64,611 people.

The city has developed at a strategically important position. The bridge over the Sava River connects the Republic of Croatia with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Brod is situated at an important highway and railway junction (E70, A3 Zagreb-Lipovac-Belgrade highway and Zagreb-Vinkovci-Belgrade railway). The railroad and highway in the northern part of the town connect Western Europe with the Middle East. In adition, a new modern highway on the international transit route 5C is under construction; it will connect Northern Europe and Hungary with Croatia (Slavonia region), Bosnia and Herzegovina and again Croatia (coastal region of Dalmatia). With completion of this route, the area of the town will become one of the major highway intersections in this part of Europe connecting West to East and North to South.

The city's economy is based on metal- and wood-processing, textile and leather industry, building material, foodstuffs, viticulture and fruit growing etc. Slavonski Brod is a home to Đuro Đaković consortium, one of the most efficient metal industries in the south-east European region. It consists of number of factories producing very diverse products, such as locomotives, trams, wagons, bridges, industrial plants, nuclear and process reactors, car industry parts, heavy armed vehicles, agricultural machinery etc. Most of the products are exported to many different countries: Germany, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria and Belgium.

The small enterprise zone ''Kolonia-Slavonski Brod" is located in the north-west part of the town next to the ''Đuro Đaković-Slavonski Brod'' Free Zone; its position offers great developmental potential. Beside that, operating in the ''Kolonija" zone will provide you with advantageous initial expenses, excellent traffic connections and  modern infrastructure. The firms whose basic activity is producing finished or semifinished products will be located in the zone. The location of the future zone is nearby the existing traffic and railroad industrial gauge, within the industrial ''Duro Daković'' zone, and nearby a future river port, the A-3  highway and border crossing with Bosnia and Hercegovina.
